HBCU Love

Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) are Treasures of Tradition and Knowledge. These Pillars of Education foster a Multi-Culturalism of Black Brilliance & Creativity that has permeated outward to the World for over 150 years. HBCUs. There are a lot of excellent institutions of higher education without the HBCU distinction, and any degree earned is of merit and pride. Build Black Daily highlights the relevance and excellence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. HBCUs produce 23% of all Black college graduates in the United States, while representing less than 4% of colleges and universities. These Historic Institutions confer 60% of all Engineering degrees for Black students, as well as produce 50% of Black Teachers and 40% of Black Health Professionals. A whopping 70% of Black Physicians and Dentists earn degrees at HBCUs, and 40 percent of Black students earn Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathletics (STEM) degrees at Historically Black Schools. HBCUs account for over 40% of all Black degrees awarded in the Communications field. In the legal profession, 50% of Black Lawyers and 80% of Black judges have been educated at HBCUs.
